Run For The Dream May 19 & 20 in Colonial Williamsburg

Run For The Dream, an event designed to benefit An Achievable Dream & Wounded Warriors, will take place this weekend in Colonial Williamsburg. The two-day event will start on Friday with a free Run for the Dream Expo and Packet Pick-up  which will take place Friday May 18, from Noon – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In addition to being able to pick up your bib, shirt, and swag bag, you can check out vendors who are featuring fitness & sports apparel, accessories and equipment at the Williamsburg Woodlands Conference Center. Race weekend will officially kick off on Saturday morning, Armed Forces Day, with an 8K run as well as a Fun Run for kids 14 and under. Saturday’s festivities will conclude with Salute To The Nation, featuring music and fireworks hosted by actor Joe Mantegna. (This event is free and open to the public.) On Sunday, the Half Marathon will start at 7:00 am at Jamestown road, snaking its way through Colonial Williamsburg before ending at William & Mary’s Zable Stadium. Awards will be given to winner’s in men & women’s divisions as well as age groups, followed by a post-race bash.
