5 Spring Beauty Must Haves

Beauty 13

Spring beauty should be simple, pretty and light.  I always think of lilac painted nails,  pink lips, soft and glowy skin, and light airy fragrances.

Here are my 5 beauty must haves:

1. Nails

Having pretty manicured nails are sure to lift your mood from the winter blues.  Think pretty pastels like pink or baby blue.  My favorite is Essie’s ‘Play Date’!  You can definitely mix and match different shades or maybe even add a accent polish like a sparkling silver to make it girly.

2.  Lips

Pink lipstick is perfect for Spring.  My favorite is ‘Candy Yum Yum’ by MAC perfect shade for sipping cosmos with the girls and can also be toned down to wear to the office for work the next morning.

3.  Fragrance

Applying a light floral fragrance will put you in an up beat mood.  I love Jessica Simpson’s ‘Fancy’. Spritz on this scent to your wrists and neck before a day out shopping!

4.  Face

You don’t want to be too overdone.  Spring is all about going light.  If I make the choice to apply a bit of makeup I will forego foundation and only apply a powder as a foundation.  I love MAC’s Mineralize powder.

5.  Body

With the weather getting better and temps moving up that means showing a little more skin.  Whether it’s your arms, legs, or neck–whatever skin you have showing should look even, smooth, and feel soft.  Shea Moisture has a wonderful line of body scrubs in several different scents with beneficial ingredients.  I love the Organic Lemongrass and Ginger scrub.  Exfoliates the skin while awaking your senses.

What’s on your beauty list? What shades will you be wearing this spring?

Stay Chic,

Samara
