One of the major adjustments to eating a gluten-free lifestyle is changing your dining out habits. Going gluten-free unfortunately eliminated some of my favorites foods & restaurants from my diet, but I was able to replace them with some alternatives. Here is a list of some of my favorite places to eat out with gluten-free options. *This list does not eliminate the possibility of cross contamination. It merely offers gluten-free options in an establishment that still serves gluten foods. If you are worried about the safety of the food with your condition, contact the restaurant or your doctor. Generally meats and vegetables are safe, barring any sauces or seasonings that may contain gluten. If in doubt, ask your server to see the list of ingredients. The hyperlink will send you to the restaurant’s gluten free/allergy menu.
- Moe’s Southwest Grill (I enjoy their “Earmuffs” bowl with rice, beef, guacamole, queso, cheese, pico, salsa and lime.)
- Ruth Chris
- Taco Bell
- Boston Market
- Olive Garden
- Red Lobster
- Bahama Breeze (although they do not have a specific gluten-free menu, a lot of options are made to order and naturally gluten-free. As always, check with your server prior to ordering.)
- P.F. Chang’s
- Chuck E. Cheese’s
- Great Wolf Lodge
