The 2016 season will be an exciting one at Busch Gardens Williamsburg with the addition of a new show, restaurant and craft beer room. The announcement was made on Saturday, during pass member appreciation weekend. The park additions include:
New Show at Royal Palace Theatre
Set to debut next summer, the show will feature the story line of the three musketeers with a contemporary twist. Taking advantage of the open-air style of the theatre, the story will incorporate the night sky and new technology, along with audience participation. Speaking of the new addition to the show line up, the park’s entertainment director shared,”An evening performance opens up a world of possibilities for an open-air venue like the Royal Palace Theatre. Playing with light and shadow in the night air lets us immerse the audience into the storyline like never before. It’s definitely something worth staying late for.”
New Restaurant (replacing Ristorante della Piazza)
Say goodbye to long buffet lines, and hello to a more relaxed international market-style restaurant featuring classic Italian, Mediterranean and Asian entrees salads and dessert stations. Based on the travels of Marco Polo, the dining area will allow for less wait time, an open design and more dining options for guest, according to Culinary VP Franz Kitenko. A stone hearth oven will be included as well for artisan flat breads. Construction for the yet-to-be-named restaurant is set to begin in early November.
New Craft Beer Room
Beer fans will love the addition of the new craft beer room, set to open inside of Das Festhaus. Debuting in the spring, it will feature 30 local regional and local craft beers, along with a variety of snacks.
