Women In Stem Day At Nauticus – March 19, 2016

Come out and celebrate professional women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) on Saturday, March 19 at Nauticus from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Learn, explore and challenge your mind as you engage with area scientists, have an opportunity to build a remote operated vehicle (ROV), learn about electrical snap circuits and see a squid dissection up close and personal. Guests can also enjoy STEM-related activities throughout the day led by Nauticus educators. The following groups will be in attendance for visitors to “meet and greet”:

 

  • Army Corps of Engineers
  • Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast
  • Granby High School Girls in Engineering Team
  • McAllister Towing & Transportation
  • Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC)
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
  • Norfolk Naval Shipyard
  • Norfolk Technical Center
  • U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Command
